CURRENT CONSTRUCTION INFO
The City of Peoria has contracted with Haydon Building to construct improvements for Lake Pleasant Parkway, with the following planned activities:

Grading activities continue along the west side of Lake Pleasant Parkway between the Loop 303 and the CAP Canal.

Scheduled to take place during daytime hours Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 17-18, Lake Pleasant Parkway traffic, north of the Loop 303, will be shifted to the outside lanes for crews to remove the median (middle) area of the road, pave that back and also place temporary asphalt along the east side of the roadway to better accommodate two-way traffic during upcoming work activities.

Scheduled to take place during night hours Monday and Tuesday night, Nov. 17-18, beginning each night at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning, Lake Pleasant Parkway traffic, north of the Loop 303, will be reduced to one lane with a flagger in place to assist travelers. Please plan extra time for travel during this period as crews work to remove existing striping and place temporary striping to accommodate an upcoming traffic shift.

Scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. 19 until approximately Summer 2026, traffic will be shifted to the east side of Lake Pleasant Parkway, north of the Loop 303, one lane in each direction, onto the temporary asphalt pavement, for work to begin on the west side of the road.

Initial work on the west side will include milling (removal) of asphalt roadway, followed by installation of wet utilities to include water and sewer pipeline.
Roads remain open for travel during this work with traffic restrictions in place, as needed, to accommodate the work effort. Work is primarily taking place during daytime hours, with some exceptions, during weekdays, excluding major holidays.
